<p>The first step is to relax. Sit or lie in a comfortable position, and make a conscious effort to feel each part of your body relaxing. Start at your toes, and work your way up to your head. As you do this, take slow, deep breaths. This should take a few minutes. Another term for this is meditation. <p>Try to imagine enjoyable things. You might picture your favourite room, or dancing with someone special, or eating your favourite meal. Doing these practice runs will help you &lsquo;see&rsquo; when it comes time to try the real thing!</p>
<p>You may want to work on these for a while before trying your first real visualisation. When you are ready to give it a try, you will need to do these very important things. Decide what it is that you want. Is there something you want to change about yourself? Do you want a better job? You pick your goal. You will probably want to start with &lsquo;easier&rsquo; goals. Ones that you believe can happen in a timely manner. You can then work up to &lsquo;harder&rsquo; ones.</p>
<p>Next, picture the idea or object exactly as you want it to be. Picture yourself in the situation or using the object as if you already possessed it. Make sure you see this very clearly. You might also draw the scene to reinforce the idea, although, this step is not necessary.</p>
<p>Once you&#8217;ve got the picture in your head, think of it often. Not only when you are relaxing or meditating, but throughout the day as well. This is the process of sending that positive energy out into the universe. Remember the old saying &lsquo;You reap what you sow&rsquo;? Well, you&#8217;re &lsquo;sowing&rsquo; when you think of what you want. The more positive energy you send out, the more you will get back.</p>
<p>Lastly, BELIEVE that the object is yours or will be yours. Any disbelief is negative energy and will counteract what you&#8217;re trying to achieve. And once you see it come true, acknowledge that you made it happen! Give yourself a pat on the back! <p>But bear in mind that most of us will never get it for the first few attempts. Don&rsquo;t give up. Believe me, you are in good company even if you do as many do give up too soon.</p>
<p>Therefore, it is common practice to practice your meditation for 20 days in a row.</p>
<p>That way, it will become a habit. When you become familiar with the meditation, you will rid yourself of the potential &ldquo;over thinking&rdquo; that comes with it.</p>
<p>As they say,  (and I know that I&#8217;ve taken some liberties here) &ldquo;practice makes the heart grow stronger.&rdquo; I wouldn&rsquo;t be surprised if the same can be said for the mind also. So go on, start practicing.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I had my first opportunity to learn meditation as a college freshman when I needed a &ldquo;filler course&rdquo; that would not conflict with my Chemistry class I was taking over the summer. My Chemistry professor also taught a Yoga class, and since he was a great guy, very purely spiritual, I also signed up for his Yoga class. <p>I expected a course in Hatha Yoga exercises. </p>
<p>We did practice the Yoga postures called Asanas during the first hour of each class, but after we were sufficiently relaxed in body by the exercises, it was time to concentrate on relaxing and focusing the mind through learning meditation. It is vitally important to learn meditation from someone who is trustworthy, without an agenda or ulterior motive.  </p>
<p>Learning how to meditate looks, at first glance, to be simple and easy. But, quieting, relaxing, and focusing the mind to prepare for meditation can be almost impossibly difficult. The simplest technique that we learned was to sit or lie quietly with eyes closed and &ldquo;watch&rdquo; your breath, visualizing it entering and leaving the body through the Third Eye chakra, which is an energy point located on your forehead. </p>
<p>Just sitting quietly in lotus position or lying on a mat and trying to focus on your breathing is an exercise in mental discipline, because you will find that unexpected thoughts will constantly try to intrude into your consciousness and disrupt your concentration and focus. If you are in a class with others, you will have the added potential for distraction created by hearing someone sneeze, giggle, snore, etc. Try to pick a place that is free from noise and external distractions to practice your meditation, especially when you are just learning to meditate. Later on, you will use sounds such as mantras and chants as focal points in your meditation.   </p>
<p>The exercise of meditating on the seven chakras in the body is a good practice for beginners. You will learn to see the distinctive colors of each of the seven energy centers with your mind&rsquo;s eye. Also, when you become adept at chakra meditation, you will have gained an important tool to help you raise your consciousness from an animal gut survival level or a primarily sexual level to levels which encompass the higher chakras of the heart, mind, and soul. And this is your one of your <a href='http://www.mindpowers.net/blog/' target='_blank'>mind tools</a> as well.</p>
<p>Many people use a holy picture of some type as a focal point, or point upon which to focus all of their attention. The traditional Hindu tool is a Mandala, which is a picture made of geometric shapes, and is usually brightly colored. However, a picture of a Christian Saint, or Pagan God or Goddess could also be used. If you are visually challenged, as I am, you can use sounds as a focal point. During natural childbirth, the meditation techniques that I learned were invaluable, and my focal point was simply the sound of me tapping on the bed.</p>

Concerns about the safety and efficacy of currently available head lice treatments, and the suitability of the current system of regulation of these treatments, including the suitability of labelling guidelines, are the subjects of the Review.</p>
<p>There is a paucity of good-quality evidence supporting the effectiveness of many head lice treatments. In particular, there is very little published evidence on the efficacy of herbal head lice treatments. The Review recommends that the TGA seek evidence of efficacy from sponsors of these products for evaluation. Evidence suggests that currently available head lice preparations result in few side effects when used as directed, and additional restrictions or safety warnings are not warranted.<br />

There is little information in the literature regarding the effect of formulation on product efficacy. What evidence there is suggests that efficacy is formulation dependant, and therefore applications for new product registrations should be supported by clinical data on the formulation intended for marketing. The Review considers that there are significant difficulties in translating the results of in vitro studies to conditions in the field.<br />
There is evidence to suggest that resistance to the majority of active ingredients in head lice preparations either has or will develop in Australia as it has overseas. Further research into this issue is required, however, clinical studies undertaken overseas may not be applicable in Australia, as resistance patterns are likely to vary in different locations.</p>
<p>Current labelling guidelines, developed in the early 1990s, are in some areas out of step with evidence currently available in the literature. The Review recommends changes to the labelling guidelines, to restrict misleading or confusing claims, to enhance treatment effectiveness, and to provide additional evidence-based advice to consumers.</p>
<p>Chemical treatment is only one aspect of treating head lice infestation, and there is a clear need for good quality, authoritative information on all aspects of head lice infestation to be made available to the public. </p>
<p>In general, head lice products containing herbal ingredients such as melaleuca oil,lavender oil and eucalyptus oil are required to be listed on the ARTG. These products do not undergo evaluation for efficacy prior to listing, but product sponsors are required to possess evidence to support the claims made on the product label, and this evidence can be requested for assessment by the TGA. Listed products may only contain approved ingredients, which have been previously assessed for safety and quality.<br />

We sit back in awe of all the things we&rsquo;ve allowed to build up, and wonder how in the world they&rsquo;ll get done, or how to do them most effectively. Fortunately for us, being a more productive person is not a hard thing to do at all. Once you know how to get started in becoming more productive the rest will fall into place. Here I&rsquo;ll list five great ways to help you in becoming a more efficient and productive person. </p>
<p>1. Make sure that you are very aware of the things you need to have done. Everybody knows the most important aspect of productivity is the end result. Becoming a more productive person starts with recognizing what you want to get done and what needs to be accomplished. And this could be anything, from jogging an extra mile to starting up your own business. Just make sure that you know what your goal is. You can&rsquo;t take on something you can&rsquo;t see, and you can&rsquo;t accomplish any goal that isn&rsquo;t clear in your mind.</p>
<p>2. Next you&rsquo;re going to write your objectives down. You see, people are generally not productive because of one of three reasons: either they can&rsquo;t tell what needs to be done, they can&rsquo;t keep track of all the things that need doing and so are likely to forget, or they procrastinate. We&rsquo;ve taken care of the first one, and now we&rsquo;re knocking the second of these problems. By writing your goals down, you are focusing on them and placing a greater significance on them in your mind. You&rsquo;re going to be able to remember them, and you&rsquo;ll have that piece of paper to turn to and keep yourself straight. This frees you up to plan on how you are going to go about achieving them. </p>
<p>3. Now for procrastination. Let&rsquo;s not kid ourselves &ndash; it&rsquo;s really simple to get distracted when it comes to our responsibilities. Often we can&rsquo;t help but think of the things we want to do instead of what we need to do, and unless there are severe consequences for delaying our tasks, it&rsquo;s easier to indulge in pleasure than in work. How do we solve this? First, make sure not to overwork yourself. Give your project everything you have, but make sure not to push yourself too hard. If you do, the work it takes to accomplish something begins to seem less and less desirable, and the urge to procrastinate grows stronger. Instead, set yourself to a loose pattern of work and pleasure. Make a commitment to work certain times, but make sure to schedule in time for the things you enjoy doing. If you aren&rsquo;t missing out on the things you like to do, you aren&rsquo;t as likely to avoid your responsibilities for them.</p>
<p>4. Of course, once you&rsquo;ve got a list of your goals, you have to actually start working toward them. Obviously this requires a certain amount of self-discipline and will on your part; and no article here will make that happen. But I can offer you a good piece of advice. I like to think of an old Chinese proverb that says, &ldquo;It does not matter how slow you move, so long as you do not stop.&rdquo; This is a very wise and important piece of information to take note of. &ndash; Make sure to get something accomplished each and every day. - No matter how big or small. Getting in the habit of getting things done is a great way of keeping up productivity.  </p>
<p>5. Finally, create reminders of why you are doing what you are doing. Everyone has a reason for their actions, and everyone has things that motivate them. If you want a big promotion at work, occasionally think about how nice a new sports car would be, or about how much better your job would be. Stay in touch with your motivations &ndash; they will keep you going even when you&rsquo;ve lost all will to continue forward. A motivated person is a powerful person, and is capable of doing anything they set their minds to. Don&rsquo;t forget the purpose behind your project, and you&rsquo;ll find it much easier to accomplish. </p>
<p>There is not actually much distance between success and failure. Often, the only differences between the two lie within your attitude and your planning. Make your commitment and take it seriously, and make a schedule that you can live with which won&rsquo;t cause you to become over-burdened. Make sure you keep your project moving forward, and never forget the reasons that you started in the first place.
